School is going well for us, Jon seems a little more bogged down than myself but that is to be expected with the classes he's taking. We are being a little more social which is always nice.
As a couple we had been having some serious issues, and yesterday was a little bit of a speed bump but we've worked forward and are continuing on our upward mobility in our relationship. We are really lucky to have each other.
We decided to let Zoe go to school (daycare) for eight hours a week. Four hours Monday, four hours on Friday. She is so excited we're just working on all the paperwork to get it to go through. Looks like Chicago is going to be Spring Break this year, since I am doing a language study over the summer we definitely aren't going to be able to afford Europe and there aren't funds available this year to pay for the trip through grants or scholarships. There is always next year!

The Car.
Things are just chugging along. School began Monday and it's Jon's last semester. Exciting stuff. We took our car into the shop to get fixed ... here's a little picture of my handy work:
I don't know how we're going to pay for it, but we'll figure something out. I might send Jon out to the corner to sell himself for the deductible. I'm sure we could get some good monies for him, he's quirky and cute as hell. It'd work.

Update
Last night while driving home from a date Jon and I were in a little fender bender. I rear-ended someone. I was extremely apologetic, it wasn't a huge ordeal, just a pain in the ass. Both cars need good amounts of work on them though, because the way I hit her.
Anyhow ... not so fun. Jon isn't handling it well, he doesn't handle any bumps in the road of life at all so it's been nothing but grumpy moods around today.
We finally took our Christmas stuff down! YAY! To hell with Christmas and 2007, bring on 2008.

Stuff we're looking forward to.
It's the begining of the year, and we celebrated in a way chill fashion. Just a few friends and some quiet time. It was nice.
Looking forward to a new year with the family. A lot is happening this year:
1. Jonathan GRADUATES(!) with his Bachelors Degree in History (World Economic History to be precise).
2. We are celebrating our SIX YEAR anniversary of being together on May 5th.
3. Zoe Turns FIVE YEARS OLD!
4. Naomi continues school and prepares to take the GRE's for grad school in the Fall.
5. We celebrate our FOUR YEAR wedding anniversary.
Hopefully there will be a few trips in there, some great family stuff ... looking forward to this year.

Happy Holidays!
Happy Holidays, it was a whirlwind around here. In the morning Zoe opened gifts here, then at Grandma and Grandpa's, and then went to Uncle Brian and Aunt Anne's for more gifts. She got piles of stuff (while she was out I cleaned out her room of old toys and clothes that don't fit her to make room for the new). Our house is in it's Post-WWIII (er, Christmas Day)-State still.
And yes, that is a bottle of Jager in the middle of the mess ... that one's for Mama.
Hope your holidays are enjoyable. Catch you on the flip side.

"Mommy, it's dancing time"
Oh my goodness, Christmas is almost upon us. What a frightening thought. We usually end up going down to my Step Brother's house and have breakfast with him, his wife, their daughter and my Step Father's until recently estranged daughter from his ... perhaps second marriage? It's an uncomfortable situation for Jonathan and myself. Zoe loves it. It's uncomfortable because these are people we see once a year, maybe twice. We are not big Christmas Present people (don't enjoy receiving and abhor the feeling of obligation to give, we prefer to give thoughtful things to people and not on Christmas, just throughout the year). We've been contemplating not going, I think it'll have to wait until the day of or perhaps the night before for us to decide.
School is over for the semester, which is a wonderful thing. It's nice to be able to relax and just enjoy nothing. Jon is working more hours during the break, but work is nothing compared to the stress of school. I've done both, and while it may look like school is easier let me assure you it most definitely is not.
Alright, the child is asking me to go in the living room and dance a little.
